Whether you have been laid off, fired, or you just learned that the business that you have worked for over10 or more years is shutting down, just before Christmas, the news never comes at the right time. Ask me how I know. Regardless of when anyone of these circumstances happen, it will never occur at the right time. It will never come after you have won the lottery. The news of a job loss will never come after a rich relative passes and bequeaths you a handsome sum of money on which to build the rest of your life. The bottom line is that you can never loose your job at the right time. So, what do you do? There are options to consider, but depending on where you are in your life, some of those options may have to be weighed out accordingly. Here are some options for you to consider and maybe implement if possible:
The above suggestions are not inclusive of every opportunity that someone who has lost their jobs should avail themselves. Having been laid off on several occasions, with limited opportunities, financing, and future prospects, I want to encourage those who may have been affected by a job loss to stay focused and not to be so easily discouraged.
