For the last half of this month as a group lets find a historical person of success that appeals to you.  Then introduce it to the group and lets discuss what it is that draws you to that successful person.  I've learned to follow people who know where they are going and I am learning to stop allowing the "lost" to affect me in any way.

I will also email the entire group to ensure that you are part of this "homework".

What defines rich? What defines Wealth?  More often than not we will begin to realize that what we thought defined success, riches, and wealth does not necessarily hold up on our road to achieving those things.  In my hometown there WAS a grocery store chain that held a firm position in all of our lives.  One way or another you were going to hear the name of the owner, whether it was at one of his stores or a politician that shared the family blood and power.  The long and short of the story is that they are no longer the powerhouse they used to be.  The stores were bought out or closed due to lack of business.   You knew the "old man" was getting old or already gone.  The Patriarch has passed away and he took his legacy with him, or at least the majority of it.  This has happened in your city or town too I'm sure.  What happened?  What is big business just coming in and rolling over the little guys?  I believe it to be something different other than the obvious change of the time.  It was a matter of asset management.  A successful business spends roughly 70% of its efforts in asset management.  Did he not manage his stores?  Of course he did and he grew them to be one of the largest grocery store chains in the state.  He didn't correctly identify his true assets. His assets were his human capital, his family, his children, his brothers and sisters, cousins, uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews, grandchildren etc.  70% of your time should be spent managing your assets, your human capital.  Do that effectively and your financial capital will always be protected because the family business is the family.  Take care of the family and the family will take care of all that you do.  Every millionaire/billionaire must identify his assets which consist of - Human Capital, Social Capital, Financial Capital.  Start with the Human Capital and find out who is in your Family Business!  Who is educated formally and informaly? Who is degreed and at what level? Who is a plumber and who is a politician?  Know who is carrying your blood because it is you business, YOUR FAMILY BUSINESS.

My mission is to become wealthy. It's strange how people seem to be scared to talk about it. It's more taboo than when I told my parents about....my partners. LOL

If we can get over alternative lifestyles why cant america get down to business.

First thing we must do is understand why "you" want to be rich and what "you" will sacrifice to be rich.  You are not required to post your "why" but feel free to do so as it may help someone.  Don't just respond with some deep trite answer, keep it real and personal, it's your "why" not anyone else's.  Listen to the Felix Dennis video again and read the lines underneath the video - both are on the main page.  Reply when you have your "why". Until next post - time is money so spend yours wisely.
